Agility is a fun and exciting sport for you and your dog!
In class your dog will learn jumping, turning, contacts, weaves and more. Whether for competition or pleasure, agility is an excellent way to strengthen the bond with your dog while having fun!

Introductory Agility
Basic control exercises for agility. Your dog will learn here, sit, down, work on your left and right side, wait, get-out, get-in, targeting and become familiar with the obstacles.
Beginners Agility and Intermediate Agility
In addition to the above, your dog will learn jumping, turning, contacts, weaves etc.

CANINE SPORTS FOUNDATION CLASS
Pre-Requisites:
- Dogs of any age with basic obedience skills
- Will accept puppies as young as 12 weeks with experienced canine sports handler
- New dogs accepted into class in September 2012 and January 2013
Taught in this course:
- Basic sports foundation skills and body awareness skills
Duration:
- Course is broken into six week sessions
- It will take a minimum of 12 – 18 weeks to develop all the skills necessary to move to the next level – whether it is Beginner Agility or Beginner Rally-O Obedience
BEGINNER AGILITY

Pre-Requisites:
- Dogs must be at least 6 months of age
- Solid sit stay and recall
- Completed canine sports foundation or by evaluation of new dogs handlers
Taught in this course:
- All equipment*, low dog walk and teeter, foundation for frame, jump grids, front cross and rear cross, basic sequencing, working towards off-leash.
*winged and wingless jumps, tunnel, chute, table, tire, double, 2 x 2 weave
Duration:
- Course is broken into six weeks sessions
- It will take several sessions to develop all the skills to move to the next level: each dog and handler team learns and progresses at their own pace
NOVICE AGILITY

Pre-requisites:
- Dogs must be at least 12 months of age
- Solid sit stay and recall
- Must be able to work off leash without other dogs in the ring
- Must be able to perform all equipment, low dog walk and low teeter
- Foundation for A-Frame, 2 x 2 weave with entries from all positions, dog and handler can do front and rear crosses correctly
Taught in this course:
- Dog walk, frame and teeter starting at low height and progressing to full height, 6 weave poles, novice sequencing and front and rear handling.
Duration:
- Course is broken into six week sessions
- It will take several sessions to develop all the skills to move to the next level: each dog and handler team learns and progresses at their own pace
BEGINNER RALLY OBEDIENCE (RALLY-O)

Pre-Requisites:
- Dogs will have taken the Canine Sports Foundation Class and acquired the skills necessary to progress to this new level or by evaluation of new dogs handlers
Taught in this course:
- How to teach your dog using a "shaping" approach
- Crate games, fronting chute, appropriate position for heeling, perch work, platform work, and learning and becoming familiar with some of the Novice signs used in a Rally Course
Duration:
- Course is broken into six weeks sessions
- It will take several sessions to develop all the skills to move to the next level: each dog and handler team learns and progresses at their own pace
NOVICE RALLY-O:

Pre-requisites:
- Dogs will have taken Beginner Rally and developed the skills necessary for this level
Taught in this course:
- A continuation of skill development
- All Novice Rally signs
- Rally courses in preparation for competing at the Novice level
